Can't connect users in the same house to my TS server

Hi, I just made a TS server for my friends and I to use to talk on while playing PS3 (Eventually we'll have a few more friends connecting over the internet).
I downloaded and set up the server and client and I was able to connect to it without any issue using localhost or 127.0.0.1 as the server address, but when my friends try to connect it fails every time. I've tried all the IP variations I can think of and still nothing.
I don't think our PC's and networked together, we just connect to the same wireless modem, so do we need port forwarding or am I not using the right IP address to specify my computer?

Silently Join in on channels

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section but anyways..

Is there a way that I can join a channel with people in it and it will not notify their clients that I've joined the channel or is there a 3rd party plugin I can have added that lets me listen to the people in the channel without me being in it.

Hello. I seem to be having an issue with a serverquery command.

I have a user in a specific channel which I want to promote to Channel Admin. I make the following command:

cgid = channel group id
cid = channel id
cldbid = user id

Code:

setclientchannelgroup cgid=10 cid=414 cldbid=40

error id=0 msg=ok

According to the telnet session it says there was no problems ("msg=ok"), but the user still hasn't received his channel group change? Is there any other command I need to do as well to update it?

I re-installed my Teamspeak Server on my Windows vServer yesterday and I already noticed an issue during the configuration; the server (ID 1, UDP Port 9987) was not listed in my Query Client and could only be chosen by using "use 1". The TSViewer did also not work properly and responded, that this server is not running but the sever itself worked fine - clients connected, channels were created, groups were configured...
Now I restarted the server engine (did not change anything) and the server (ID 1, UDP Port 9987) seems to be offline - nobody can connect, it is still not listed in the Query Client (YaTQA) and using "use 1" only responds "server is not running. Fehlercode: 1033". The second server (ID 2, UDP Port 1993) works fine.
What can I do now to fix this?

Custom commands

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to create custom commands for my TS3 server. Like for example, if a user types /commands in the client, the server will respond by sending a message of all the available commands.

I'm currently using an unlicensed version but purchasing a license as soon as my server is set up properly.

Can anyone help me achieve this please?

I cannot seem to connect to the accounting.teamspeak.com server. I've tried from my local machine, and VPSs in multiple locations around the US.

Is anyone else seeing this? I can't start my server after my 3.0.7.2 update, because it won't authenticate with the accounting server. =\

I was wondering if there is any way somebody could increase their Server Group/Channel Group status depending on the total time they have been connected to the server? If there is, how?

Redirection issue (domain -> dynamic IP)

On my.domain.com (my webspace with registered domain), I use a php script to redirect ts3 clients to my local pc where the ts3 server is running. Whenever my local IP changes, the php script recieves the new local IP and if someone enters my.domain.com in his browser, he recieves a ts3server:// link:

Using a browser, this works like a charme.

Now I wanted to add my.domain.com to the favorites in my ts3 client, but the client fails to connect. I get the following errors in the logfile:

1.2.3.4 (I changed the domain name and IP) is the IP of my.domain.com, so the client doesn't seem to care about the redirect. He simply resolves the server IP and tries to connect there instead of using the redirection to my local pc IP.

Is there a solution to this problem without using a CNAME entry? Maybe a different way to redirect, using a .htaccess file or using something like

Gooday, i am trying to install a teamspeak3 server on my Linux server with centos. When type in in puty ./ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh, i am getting the errors below

License key hijacked

Someone has gotten a hold of my licensekey.dat file and is using it on their machine.

Seeing as it is not possible to host the license on 2 ip's at the same time, how do I go about using the license on my own machine? Is there a way I can block his machine's ip from using it? How do I get in touch with TS support?

Increase number of slot

Currently,i was run on a personnal computer Teamspeak 3 server. I put a layout of my friends and their friends as we found for every day to play at online gaming. However I am currently limited to 32 slots, but sometimes we need a few more. how can i increase the number of slots (100 will be more than enough) without apply NPL.

Teamspeak 3 Failed to connect to server

Hello, I created my own TS3 Server about 1-3 Months ago. 2 nights ago I was getting off TS3 for the night and went AFK in my channel, after I got up I got this error in the chat box:

I shut down TS3 Server & Client no dice and I restarted my computer, still nothing. I went into my TS3 Server file location and I went to the logs and found this:

I can connect to other servers but I can't connect to mine. I run both Client & Server as Adminstrator and on my computer Im Adminstrator, I start Server before Client and I have a 32-bit Operating System. I'm not sure if I'm properly restarting the TS3 Server right but closing it out and running it again or just restarting my computer. If someone knows a better way to restart your TS3 Server I'd like to know. I used JAGTutorials to set up my TS3 server and I've forwarded all my ports. If theres anything else you need to know, let me know.

ping to accounting.teamspeak.com is working and the firewall rules are still correct.

does anybody know what error 110 actually means?
any suggestions to track down the problem?
