Channel passwrod changes itself.

Hello,
I recently started using passwords with some channels, and it changes itself.
Example:
I create channel named: "test" with the password: "test" <--- 4 letters (****)

I click apply, then ok (and the windows closes) I acces the channel edit window again just to see a (******) I tell my friend to use the password test and it does not work. any help?

Hi. Ive got teamspeak with my friend, and we want to create a servergroup called mute but that servergroup have to mute normal registered users. Not Admin.. how can i do it, cuze ive got no idea, it dosent work when i am trying to do it.

Please Help me.

Need help with Server and Channel Groups

Hi guys x] I just recently bought a server, and I've been trying to set things up for a while now but I'm having some difficulty getting all my permissions right and was wondering if I could get some help. There's a lot to go through so I'll just go through each group and what I want them to be able to do.

SERVER GROUPS

Server Owner:
I want this status for me and my tech-savvy friend only. I have all these permissions right and don't think I have to change anything.

Server Admin:
My two problems here are that I don't want Admins to be able to add or revoke Server Owner status, which they can. And I don't want them to be able to edit any of the permissions.

Staff:
I want these guys to be able to grant and remove Staff and under server permissions (so staff, normal and guest but not owner or admin)

Also these three groups make people sort alphabetically in the client list

Where blue is staff, Red is Owner and Gold is Admin. I'd like to have Red sorted at the top, then Gold, then Blue, rather than have them all grouped together then alphabetised.

CHANNEL GROUPS

Channel Owner:
Want these guys to be able to do everything channel-related. The only thing they can't do, which I can't figure out, is put people into Channel Group: Mute (a ch group I made which is unable to talk out loud in a channel)

Channel Admin:
Again I have the unable to add to mute problem, and I do not want them to be able to add people to Channel Group: Owner (which they can)

Operator:
I only want these guys to be able to add people to Op, Voice and Mute but right now they can add to all but mute channel groups

Voice:
Pretty sure this is fine with the default settings

Mute:
It says Mute [temp] rather than mute [perm] and I'd rather it be able to be permanent

Also Admin and Operator are doing the same thing Sever owner, admin and staff are doing

sorting alphabetically rather than by channel group.

All help is greatly appreciated and sorry for being such a noob at this!!!

Cant ban people for more than 2 hours?

Hello. We currently rent a server from a host and we have full access to all the permission systems however for some reason we cannot ban people for more than 2 hours. Not really sure why this is?

Is there a way to make it so a server group can only edit icons or add new group?

is there a way to make it so my sub admins can only add an icon? or edit icons.. but cant edit permissions of a group?

Ok here we go. in my ts I have 5 Groups each group has 5 rooms. is there a way to set it up so whoever I set to group 1 can move to all group ones rooms but not outher groups or rooms?

remove kick priviledge from guest clients

Apparently guests have kick privileges on my server. So I'm wondering how to remove that.

I'm the only SA on the server. Server version 3.0.6.1 on ubuntu 10.04

I am the only SA on the server, private server for some gaming friends and I want to unpublish from the list.

I have gone to Settings>Options>Application>Misc>Advanced Permissions System
But when I right click server>Edit Virtual Server>Misc - I am unable to uncheck this box.

Removing ServerGroups from a Client at disconnect

so, my question is, is there a way, to reset the servergroups when a client disconnect from the server. means, at his next connect, hes only in the default servergroup.

Hi guys!
So here's my problem:

Someone set up the server i am in before i came there. now i am allowed to redo everything.
its a server for an "Army" meaning we have 4 types of tags:

Regiment Name (1)
Medals (2)
Rank (3)
Regiment Banner (4)

in that order. i have split (1) and (4) so that the regimental name is before and the banner of it is shown on the rightmost side of all tags.
Q1: is there a way to create it so (1) name is shown on the leftmost beside name and its banner shown on the rightmost? it would eradicate the necessity of (4)

Now. I want to make (1) (2) (4) as "cosmetic" groups. no rights and no privileges nothing. to exclude all rights they can have, is it possable to check the "Skip" button on all rights to make it a soley cosmetic group or is that unnecessary?

All rights a member has should be given due to rank.
Heres the deal:
Moving:

Gen-Captain can move all
Sgt-1stLt can move up to Cpt
Ranks below Sgt can only move ppl below them
(PFC can move VetPvt+Pvt+Rec...., Vet Pvt can move Pvt etc...)

Every NCO (Sgt Up) can give out ranks one rank below themselves but not higher. only Cpt+ can take it away again.

and a few other perks.

i set it, so the stats for moving power i.E were decreasing by 5 per rank. so iE
Col 70 Power and 70 need
Maj 65 P 65 N
Cpt 60 P and 60 Need
etc.
Somehow it didnt work at all....then again it did sometimes.... no idea why....

I would be GREATFUL for any help...
ive searched the forum and didnt find any answers to these questions percisely... so i hope i didnt double-post.

Channel admin able to move his main channel inside parent channel

Greetings everyone,

I've been maintaining a TS server for while now and know my way around most of the rights to the extend of what influences what after spending a lot of time with it, but today something is baffling me..

Channel admins on the server were always able to move channels whereever they wanted inside the channel they are admin in but never outside of that. Now for some reason they seem to be able to change the order for channels inside their parent which I am 100% certain was not the case before (I set up everything to the point where zero abuse is possible so I have as little to do as possible to fix problems) and wondering what happened as noone bt me changes rights and permissions. Anyway, time for specifics.

Lets say channel A has channel 1 and 2 inside it. Channel admin for 2 has the option to put its channel in front of channel 1 so the main order is changed even though he is not an admin inside channel A.

What I don't get is how this is possible and I would like regular channel admins to not have this power anymore. I tried taking out b_channel_modify_parent but that did nothing at all and removing b_channel_modify_sortoder is not an option because I still want them to be able to change the order inside their own channels.

Anyone able to offer a solution/help?

Server Group Permissions

I duplicate the normal server group permissions and then out of nowhere people i give the normal server group to cannot private message server adms anymore but they can message other normal server group people or guest. Is there a way I can fix this. They have power to message but still cannot message people. When ever they message people they get insufficient client permissions 2568

I made an Admin server group in teamspeak to give to trusted people to hand out server groups to people.

I was woundering how I can make that server group able to give all server groups besides Server Admin to people?

So pretty much if I was admin I can give anyone a server group beside server admin?

Need Client Kick/Ban keeps resetting to "This group will be set as"

Hello,

I am trying to setup an usewr between server admin and normal user but every time when I set a Need to kick client value to 60 it resets back to 50.

Is there a way to to applie changes without the set as effecting it?
