Server Crashing

Hello,

I'm hosting my TeamSpeak 3 Server on a VPS Server with the following specs:

CPU :1 Core
Platform: OpenVZ
Memory: 376MB
Storage: 25GB
Bandwidth: 6mbps / 1800GB

I have only had like 30 people max on the server so far. I have a NPL on it, and the server is set for a max of 100 users. I have started it up like 3 times already, and it says it might have "crashed"... How do I check the logs of why it crashed if the server isn't up? or will the server have to be up and running before I can do that? Please advise!

Hi all i recently restored my ts server on my vps, ive noticed in the server premissions there a so called "user" called serveradmin but it isnt assigned to anyone unique idsay serveradmin, anyone know how to get rid of this? as its in some other groups as well.

Hi guys,

I am new to teamspeak 3 and tried setting it up on my new VPS hosted by HostGtor. For the most part, query and ftp ports work fine. I am having a lot of issues with the 9987 UDP port. If I do a 'netstat -lnp | grep ts3' command it will give me all 3 ports with 2 listening and 1 not listening (9987).

Truth be told I really do know what IP address I should be using--is it my primary name server IP? My domain IP (which is my primary name server IP)? My secondary name server IP?

Also, is the server password always empty to begin with? I read a bunch of guides and whatnot and some never mention how you get it and some say it's in an 'email'. The only email I have ever received while buying an Annual Activation License was my billing username and pw. Did something bug out and I missed a 'welcome' email with my server info? I reallly just need help grasping anything, and sorry for the lack of screenshots, I will provide them once I get off work (and learn how to use them in forums).

From the guides, this is what I've done over and over again.

1. Download compressed file package for ts3 64bit.
2. Create a new user /home/ts3user.
3. Install package in /home/ts3user.
4. Change group and owner to ts3user for everything in the package.
5. Create a ts3server.ini file.
6. Use your server's ip address (primary name server) instead of 0.0.0.0
7. Modify ts3server_startscript.sh and include 'inifile=ts3server.ini' in the COMMANDLINE param (with $2)
8. Run ./ts3server_startscript.sh start
9. Record serveradmin pw, record token.
10. Open client. Connect using server ip:9987 with no password (I don't even know what this part is all about. What is the password??)

Connection Fails. Checking log, 9987 is listening aka Virtual Server Manager. However, when I check the processes, it's not listening.

Could this be a firewall issue? Like I said, I am new to CentOS Linux so I can't tell how everything works..Thanks for reading up to this point and helping!

TeamSpeak3 Server with Bluehost

Hello,

I am having problems getting teamspeak3 serve set up correctly. I have installed ts3 server multiple times before but ive never had this happen.

I have teamspeak installed and I'm able to run the process. My problem is that I can't connect. I had Bluehost open the correct ports and they are confirmed to be open. I tried adding the IP to the bindings like this:

using sqlite database..
i want to move the database to mysql..
how do i do that??step by step complete tutorial please..
and how do i make the server running with .ini file?

as i read this thread , i couldn't see if that will work on centos server..

Hello,
Since i puted my Lincensekey.dat file in the teamspeak3 folder and restart it the server works but after 60min (everytime is it 60min) the server shutdown with the following message ( Server Shutdown! )
What can i do? i resetet my teamspeak like 4times but it doesnt works -.-

I installed on my vps the team speack 3 version Teamspeak3-server_linux-amd64-3.0.7.1.tar.gz the server works perfectly but I have available are 32 slots licensekey.dat I put the file in the root folder of the team speak I stopped and started the server but does not change anything then I modified the file to the string ts3server.ini licensepath I addressed to the file licensekey.dat I stopped and started the server but nothing.
how can I do?

Not sure what to do. It is a VPS. CPU isn't touched, around 700+MB RAM unused.

If i want to update my linux ts3 server so i just turn off server, download latest version from here http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads and rewrite old files? Or do i need to do any other steps?

Teamspeak3 Server trough MySQL

Hello everyone!

I have recently deleted my original TS3 server, and started over connecting it to an MySQL Database.
Now that that all works like a charm, i notice when i restart the server that settings aren't saved in the database.

So then i need to start over again, making channels and such, does it normally preform a "save" action, or what do i need to do so it saves it to the database, cause "server properties" are still as they are installed, i do want to mention that the "clients" table is filled with the recent users.

Have i missed a step or a setting?

Non-profit License renewal issue

Hello,

My NPL was supposed to be automatically renewed last January but it nothing happened. I have tried to restart the my TeamSPeak 3 server several times and also tried to replace the licensekey.dat file with the one I received by email: nothing works.
Here is an extract in the current logs file:
