    microphone muted...

    Hi,

    it's a strange thing:
When I start TeamSpeak on my Linux-Box and connect to localhost the connection is established, but i can't unmute the microphone.
I have a sony vaio subnotebook with yamaha ymf-754 soundcard.

I am able to play sound with mplayer and record something with sound-record simultaneously.
The Logfile of TeamSpeak is clean.

I played around a little bit with my artsd and noticed the following: when I enable full-duplex mode i even can't unmute headphone and microphone!

I also tried without artsd running, etc. All without success!

I heard that teamspeak is the best piece of software to talk voip. So i need it!!!

    May someone can help me?!

    Thanx and greetings from Austria
    Tom

i'm almost sure that the problem is: aRts DOESN'T support MIC's.

I'm trying to make this work here too. I use Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid) with kernel 2.6.1.

try running without ANY sound server. You will see that the mic will work, but u won't be able to play any game, erm?
