People can't get in until I do?!

This question is probably dumb, but I am stumped. I run a TeamSpeak server on occasion for my teammates and can't get the server to work for them until I log into it myself.

Basically, I start the server and my friends cannot login, even when they are registered and have CA and SA priveledges. I was under the impression that they would be able to.

Once I open the client and login to the server they have no problems joining the server.

I was hoping to be able to just start the server and not have to log into it myself so I don't have to listen to them.

I do run Zone Alarm, so maybe that could be the problem, but I was pretty sure I had it configured properly for TS.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok, I just spent a little more time playing around with this issue and have determined the problem is definitely related to Zone Alarm. When I completely shut down ZoneAlarm people can log in fine without me logging in or the client being open.

When ZoneAlarm is up it seems as though people cannot login until I login with the Client or at least have the client up. Maybe I just haven't read the instructions properly and need to have both open?

I did a test where I had ZoneAlarm running. I logged into my server with the Client and logged back out and shut down the client (not the server). I then opened the Client, but did NOT log into the server and my friend was able to login. Does this make any sense!?

Still any advice is welcome and appreciated!

I have an idea. If you configured ZoneAlarm to open port 8767 for your client, this port seems to open only when you start your client. The server uses port 8767, too. So if your client is up, ZoneAlarm opens the port and the server can use it, too. Maybe you did not configure ZoneAlarm to allow your server to open port 8767?

    Just an idea!
