AC 97 Audio Trouble With Mic

Hello, I am currently using the AC97 Codec:ALC650 the Audio Controller: VIA(3059) and the Realtek Audio Driver Version 5.10.0.5440 on my Windows XP machine. I have boost enabled in the mic settings under volume controlls and people still cant hear me even though im yelling into the micrphone. My TeamSpeak version is 2.0.32.60 and I have all the current Service Packs available. My sound card is on board on my Gigabyte 7VAXP. I have tried many different things and am open to any suggestions because playing with all the settings has not worked and downloading the drivers from realtek have not helped either. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

    Ty in Advance =|

hört sich stark nach einem Problem mit den Mixer-Settings an...

    hier steht, wie's richtig geht:

und wenn man nach AC97 im Forum sucht, dann sieht man, dass der Chip sehr viele Probleme bereitet:

First of all German is not my native language but here comes the translation and only the translation, so don't flame ME for it:

Looks like a problem with your mixer settings.

Here is where it should work :
    http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/show...&threadid=7998

And when you search the form for AC97, you'll see that this chipset has a lot of problems :

    BtW:

Buy a SoundCard which cost only 10 - 12 Euro n' then U got no more longer da SoundOnBoard-Probs.

If U still wanna use Ur OnBoardSound update Ur DirectX n' install da newest Version of TS
... dis should help in most cases!

Try reinstalling TS and also get latest drivers. I have no problems and I use the realtek AC97 Audio.

    same trouble here with Linux
FedoraCore 4 with VIA 8237 Alsa Mixer
Mic works in Fedora, when mute is off
Mic works (once) using it in Skype
Mic works not using TeamSpeak, i hear others, they don't hear me
no other sound-applications (xine, vlc,...) running, still no voice in TeamSpeak

searched the forum for that problem, wasn't succesfull trying the 'trick' with the ln-settings (just wanna use Teamspeak alone, not combined with quake or something)

    any suggestions?

    found it:

/dev/adsp was owned by root:root, so i changed it with
    chown /dev/adsp brizly:root
for my use (supstitute brizly with your username :-) )

in Teamspeak Sounddriver is (as before) /dev/dsp
    no it runs *jump*
