Need Assistance! Dial up compatability?
Is this system compatible with dial up? I have server set on dsl and client set on dial up can this work? If so what am I missing?
I cant ping the server from a dial up machine. I get error message...no reply from server server may be offline or team speak is not running on it! What am I missing?

your question is either really stupid or it doesn't make any sense...
teamspeak will just need an internet connection (udp protocoll), it doesn't care how the connection was established.

I am sorry I asked such a stupid question!!!!
I cannot see the server with the dial up machine. It can't ping the server, and when I try to connect to the server I get an error message...
no reply from server server may be offline or team speak is not running on it!
So have you seen this before? If so some guidance as to why the DIAL up machine can't connect or ping the server??
I apologize if this question is stupid, but nevertheless it is an issue and your help would be appreciated.

drop the dial up and dsl part of this discussion, nothing to do with the problem I think
you are trying to log in from an external ip (dial-up) to your server that is connected thru dsl to the net, is this right?
If so, than you have a router/firewall/portforwarding problem,
Try to have someone else to connect to your server thru the Net, if he/she gets the same error, then I am right => router

Pim thanks for the attention
I have two separate dial up systems that can't ping or connect. You are right. What do you suggest I do to fix this? Is it something I have to do in the router? All of my LAN machines connect flawlessly.
Thanks again.

That confirms my suspicion
Thing to do is to check for the following;
Make sure you have a fixed wan -ip. if your wan-ip is dynamic get yourself a domain at www.dyndns.org
Make sure all firewalls are switched off, if you use Norton and/or Zone Alarms, please do a search in these forums on how to switch those really off
On your router, or filtering cable/dsl modem in case you dont have a router, you need to enable port-forwarding for port 8767 UDP to your box running TS server.
Your router manual should tell you how to do this, all brands are different in this respect. You could also do a search here on your router brand, and see what comes up
If this all doesnt work, but you are sure you've done the above things right, pull the box running ts-server off dhcp and give it a fixed LAN-IP.
Also put the client in debug mode, and try again
If it still doesnt work, post a (debug-)logfile here
Good luck buddy
