Hmm that is strange, I cannot duplicate this on my server running the same version. I will look into the code and see if I can find a reason for this.

I need some help and advice.
I installed WP 4.1.0 and I get a tcpquery error, and it lists the IP of my Gateway off the router. All the necessary ports are open MySQL is configured properly. http://eoe-ts.servegame.com
What exactly am I doing wrong here?

yeah, i also want to know that, i;m playing with it for a while and did everything that was written in the readme, and i even waited 15 minutes. even opened the tcpquery port, and even tried it without a password on my server.Originally posted by spyder5336

but my server still does not show up
and how does it actually work?
does it need that stupid extra port open?
or does it neatly read in the database?
i got an other one working, it was very easy, just copy configure and done.but it uses the extra port to check.

Make sure to get the latest version, 4.1.1, if you are using the new server version, or nothing will show up.

do i need to have the tcp query port on?
do i need to remove the password from the server?
what needs to be done to let your script know a server excists?
what do i have to change in the database to fake the handshake?
you can do tech talk, i study computer science....

Absolutely nothing. The server sends out a pulse with some basic information every 5 minutes, you set where that pulse goes with the PostURL option in the web admin control panel for the server. This pulse/post information contains information like the server name, version, how many people are online, what the tcpquery port is set to and some other things. I capture this info and place it in the database, it then querys back the server on the tcp port for the information like, what channel names are there, what are the names of the people online, this info is also entered into the database if it is available. So no ports are needed at all to get the basic info for the server information. If no player data is shown once the server shows up, then the query port isn't setup right.
