    TDSoundIn.open: No Sound driver is available for use.

    I get that problem when I the logitech headset plugged in to my soundcard...its the logitech headset that comes with UT2k4. What is the problem?

    OpenDevice and WavelnOpen Specified resource is already allocated?

    It wont let me speak or hear anything on TS... Someone please help me.

    I am recieving the same problem. Up until today, my mic has worked without a hitch. By "Up until today," I mean since October 2004.

    I use on-board audio on an Asus A8V deluxe motherboard (AC97 audio in 5.1 configuration), and have a USB Logitech desktop mic (not on a headset).

    If the direct sound or wave will fix my problem, how do I test TS in those modes?

    Ok I figured it out (someone in my clan helped me). Open TS, go to Options - Settings and in the first tab change input to your mic and output to your speakers. Even if it looks highlighted, select it.

    This is for anyone else who has the problem, as I don't need the help anymore.

    If anyone would still be reading in this post, I have the same problem, there comes an additional problem with this though, in the 'input' box I don't have anything, even with the mic of my headset plugged in there's nothing there. How can I fix that? (only my input was not working, I was hearing everything fine, yet I got the same error message)

    What kind of headset do you have? Do you have the latest sound drivers for it? Have you tried a different mic? Does windows detect your mic?

    I have the same problem! Switching the sound driver to 'Direct Sound' isn't helping, I still get the same error. Re-installing TS didn't help either.

    this is starting to piss me off cuz when i search forums this is always the last post the problem i have is never solved

    also when i try to switch to direct chat it gives same error then switches back to wave

    Have you updated your sound drivers?

    Sometimes you have to set it to wave/direct close TS and open it back up for it to take.

    What do you use as a mic? PC mic, usb headset, etc...
