Proxy!!!
I am running a free small proxy program, and it does not support UDP or full functional Socks.
Does Teamspeak work through this, or does anyone know of any other free proxies that have full functionality with everything.
ICS wont work, but if anyone knows of any others that act like ICS andmakes PC think its directly connected to the net.
Please help!!!!

As long as you are able to play games behind that proxy, teamspeak should work as well. You might not be able to host you own server though. Just test it and post again if you happen to encounter a probloem.

I can play certain games behind the proxy, but only if the Host PC is the one connected to the net.
Mohaa works if I connect to the other PC over the LAN, but I cant use gamespy or anything like that to get into an outside game.
So I cant really use games behind it either!!!!!
Thanks though

How do you mean that ics does not work?
You mean that you cant get ics to work? Or that ts2 cant work together with your ics?
FYI: Ts was designed to work without problems with ics / iptables / other NAT routers

Hey where's the attitude from man, its only a query!
What I meant is, my ADSL USB modem requires the NDISWAN networking protocol and I cant run a ICS server on the same PC as that protocol (The one with the net connection).
Its not a problem with your software, just at my end with regards to ICS.
Anyway, If any one knows of a Proxy that acts like ICS or routes UDP and SOCKS with no conflict from NDISWAN, then please let me know!
Cheers

First. I dont give u attitude, just questions. I need things to be clear before i can answer them. saying "it does not work" is not enough info for me.
There are programs out there that do what you want. Try wingate . If i remember correctly, it socketfies your whole pc.

Sorry bout the attitude thing, just a bit stressed. Bad Day,
I have actually tried wingate b4, and it didnt do the trick, I think im in shitstreet.
As far as I know I can either Get a RJ45 compatible modem or a USB router both cost at least 100 quid which i cant afford.
U see im on ADSL not cable which is proving to be a bit of a bugger.
Anyway, Thanks a lot for the help / advice u have given.

yeah, im having a problem connecting to ANY TS server, i can get the list up, in the prog, but i cant connect.
im using WinProxy , and where i can connect to everything else, i cant connect to a TS server. I can paly games, send email, browse web, use xchat, msn, icq etc, but i cant connect to a TS server through win proxy.
Are there any known fixes for this?

Hey, I currently use the latest version of Winproxy.
And have had success in connecting to teamspeak servers.
I am running a winproxy computer and then connecting to teamspeak servers from client machines.
With your firewall settings set to medium you have no issues.
I am currently working on what settings are needed to increase the firewall settings to Medium-High.
The problem is getting the right ports open.
I have just found that by opening Incoming UDP Port 55500 allows me to connect to TS servers. I can have my firewall setting on Medium-High like I wanted. And I'd imagine High also.
Hope this helps someone out.
Whats the deal with that port Teamspeak?
Added (the day after): The next day when trying to connect to the same ts server I had problems. I've had to set my settings back to medium (open all ports). Is there a port range Mr Teamspeak???Last edited by Changeling; 04-04-2004 at 04:20.

No port range as such as far as my port monitor tells me. On a completely isolated system, all I need to do is open up one TCP port and one UDP port. I personally forward these to a proxy that I have directo contol that is "profile" based. Ie: I have a profile that takes the incoming TCP and UDP and forwards it to my main clan TS server on relevant ports, another profile to do the same thnig for a different clan TS server and another one that maps to a computer geek room ><
Basically, you only need the relevant TCP and UDP port open. Completely firewalled PC and port testing certified.
Though, when I say "only" it's all relative. Me + only = "ok, happy", company admin + only = "why? no. you don't need it for email."
