I am providing you with as much information as possible, including suggestions from FIC my MB mfr and Nvidia forums.
I did a hardware test from the Control Panel/Sound Devices slection, and the mics from any of my head sets cause some weird humming noises, scrolling makes it even more noticable, loading web pages do also, it doesn't matter how high or low I Iet it it still does it, even without the speakers on and only the head set as well. I can mute it and it goes away. But I cannot get the Noise to go away once I press it to use it on TS2.
Nividia Forums - [I honeslty thought that the Nvidia drivers and XP were conflicting. I think XP has installed it's own set of drivers our possibly some other program. Is there a way to check this?
XP is going to install it's own set of drivers. If you installed any drivers after you installed XP, you may need to delete the device from the hardware section under System in the Control panel and reinstall the device. XP is very particular about drivers it uses and it wants to have microsoft certified drivers for XP. Have you installed all the updates for windows xp from the microsoft website? if not you should.
Updating the Drivers via Windows make it worse. Not to mention I completely lose access to the Nvidia controller.]

??? What the heck? This is all they sent me until once gain I emailed them with the same questions.
what about the drivers that come with the MB, do i use them at all, they come in a darn nividia package and can't seperate them? [FICA] install the nForce drivers from the CD.
what about the XP drivers are they conflicting, possibly? No
what about all the XP updates it always wants to do, do I do the updates? Up date if you need to but after the issues is resolved.
the nvidia updates mess it up worse if i have installed the MB driver package so will it when i use the ALC655? or shouls i not do any updates? Install the ALC655 audio drivers after the nForce drivers are installed.
please be a little more detailed in your emails. i do not even know what the heck ALC655 is, comes from, or who realtek is. I understand it's drivers, i assume it's sound card driver, but i do not know about all this other stuff. please answer all questions. ty]
So here I am - mic is muted, no scrolling problems or mouse related issues as long as it is muted, sound is okay, until I choose to use mic. I use teamspeak for all my online activities. When talking on it, the electronic hissing/crackling is terrible. Again, I have no problems with any other onboards and I range from Pentium Based MBs to Athlons from various Companies. Our Codecs are at the highest levels on Teamspeak as well. I have changed them around to see it that helps but no success.

Right now I am back to having only this instaled: XP, MB drivers (Nvidia Driver Package), and Teamspeak2 (2032). If I do the windows updates one of them monkeys up my Nvidia controller so that an error pops up and I no longer have access to it. So I have to roll back to the original installs where I am presently at.

I tried Realtek AC655 as suggested by FIC - my MB mfr. No success there either.

Any ideas?

I'm not really familiar with the NForce chipset, but don't they have the soundchip and both north and south bridge integrated in one chip? I guess that's where your noises are coming from.
I'm not sure if driver updates fix this - after all it could be a physical problem.
Maybe you need to cough up another 10 bucks and get a cheap soundcard to use with Teamspeak.

Nvidia and all the MBs that use it should not boast about their products until they have all the major glitches worked out. I vote we ALL not by from any of the false advertising, lying, cheating, stealing, companies with little or no pride in their products.

My friend and I are running this flawlessly on nForce2 Chipsets ( Asus and Abit MBs). I had an issue similar to this when using front of case jacks for my mic. After plugging and unplugging the mic a few times it got better. I also shielded the cable inside the case; from the front to the motherboard, and this seemed to make all noise go away. If you are using a front jack, have you tried the back (and vise-versa)?

Make sure you have the latest BIOS for your MB as that Silicon Image RAID chip is a pissy little thing with the earlier BIOS revs.

AC97 Sound cards are the work of Satan. I'd much rather have my SoundStorm, or a SBLive ($5-$30 on eBay).

i don't think it's a problem with the nvidia chipset at all
i have asus a7n8x deluxe with nforce chipset and nvidia sound card integrated
works perfect for me
i think u just don't know how to configure it
first go to the Device Manager and see if there is any conflict and before u do this, make sure all ur software is up to date. if not, go to nvidia and download the latest nvmixer. use Sound Recorder to test.
I didn't really understand that big chunk of text u posted.
I think u meant it gives funny noise whenever u try to use ts. if so, try upgradin directx to 9.0c and ur soundcard driver
soundcard driver should be easier to find at www.nvidia.com
