random "no reply from server"
Usually things work out but sometimes people just can't connect to the server with the error message "no reply from server".
This could be something with the tss2 server (linux) or the all clients (all windows). I have never got this problem but I am on the same subnet. Others get it sometimes, this problem just sometimes come up, anyone got an explanation for this? This has happened for different people so it's not a local clientproblem.
My computer and the server are behind a properly setup router (netgear RT314).

Well,
could be a number of things...if there is some packetloss involved, you will get the no reply message if your first packet (the connection packet) gets dropped. You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:

In a world without fences and walls - who needs windows and gates ?

I don't think that's the problem...
I am one of those who have problems with this server.
When that error come up, it can go on for hours... Even days sometimes!
And it is not often it happands for only one person, oftenly it affects 2 or 3 persons at the same time.

As long as you can connect to the server from inside the LAN or at least one outside IP can connect, it proves the server is up, running and functional.
So the place to look is the network, starting with the LAN ts-server runs on, the router and the WAN/Internet
Find a freeware IP tool onthe Net and start tracing/pinging and what have you, all connections to the server
