    invalid characters?

Since the upgrade from 2.0.19.46 to 2.0.20.1 (linux server), I have experienced having 'invalid characters' in my nickname, namely '[' and ']'.

I searched this forums, without success, nor have I found anything about it in the documentation (perhaps haven't looked hard enough?).

Now that I am part of a gaming clan, and TS admin for a number of TS servers of other clans, who use the [ and ] in the tag, like '[MC] TomCat' in my case, it is weird to notice that the '[' and ']' are no more allowed.

I have two questions for this:

    - What has been the reason for not allowing those characters anymore (is there a possibility to allow them again)?
    - Are there additional characters considered invalid as well?

I noticed that '[' and ']' are allowed in (already existing?) account names, but not in the nickname...

You definitely must wortk on your searching styl. It's not very effective as this is posted in the FAQ, Release notes, and in many many threads in this forum

    - http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/show...5&pagenumber=1 (see second post)
    - http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/show...threadid=10806 (FAQ Thread !!!)

The last thread gives the reason why this limitation has been implemented.
    have fun !
