Refreshing Banner in TS2 clients
i have put up a banner in my TS2 server to show in the clients using that ISP gfx trick in the server.ini file.
it works like a champ (though i wish i could set the size to fixed so the image won't stretch).
my problem is that i went to replace the image, and it wouldn't refresh. the old image still was there. i cleared IE temp files and still no luck i decided to check the docs n settings "application data" for my user account, and sure enough under a teamspeak2 folder was an imagecache.ini and a jpg file.
so i looked in the ini file there and saw that it had permanently set the banner image at the URL provided to be linked to the one it downloaded the first time. i figured well, if i change the name of the image file, it'll download a new one and refresh. sure enough it downloaded the other one. now i had two entries in imagecache.ini and two jpg files in the folder. and NO IMAGE displayed in the teamspeak client.
i had to manually delete the imagecache.ini and the jpgs (prolly just needed to delete the ini) and then after fully quiting TS2 and starting it up again, it displayed the correct image.
is this a bug where the client doesn't properly fetch a replaced or different image? i would wish it would download the image every connection, or at least the first connection for each instance of teamspeak.Last edited by Grin Reaper; 13-09-2004 at 21:24.

[ISP]
GFX URL=http://www.website.com/TSbanner.jpg
it HAS top be jpg, nothing else. just add those two lines at the end of your server.ini file and that's all.

What I do is fill in another URL @ teamspeak server... problem solved...
I only needed to reconnect the client!
The only thing I want to see in Ts2 server is a way to set the height of the banner showed at the client...
