Error when using DirectSound output
When I use TS with default WAV output setting, everything works fine. But the simulator I am using TS for (IvAc of www.ivao.org) cannot announce events via WAV output then, what is uncomfortable, as I need acoustic notifications time to time.
Trying to set TS to DirectSound output, what some players reports working, I have got following errors as quoted from the log file:
08-06-04 10:49:49,-1968189,ERROR,All,TMainForm.ApplicationEvents1Exce ption,EDSound: TDSoundOut.Open(DirectSoundCreate): The request failed because resources, such as a priority level, were already in use by another caller.
08-06-04 10:50:11,-1812805,WARNING,All,procedure TDICallBack.execute,"The operation had no effect." or "The device buffer overflowed and some input was lost." or "The device exists but is not currently attached." or "The change in device properties had no effect."
Even if I start TS as standalone (no IvAc or other voice outputing part of software, clean Windows 98 SE) and try to switch to DirectSound, the same occurs!
Do you have some recommendations what to do next?
Thanx, Pavel Mendl
