Do any ports need to be open?
I am running a server on one of my other computers and I am wondering if you need to open any ports for it to work? Also, as a client, do any ports need to be open? I have a WGT624 router/firewall w/ SPI that I need to open ports for most internet applications.

hi
please have a look into the FAQ. there's a thread for server and client ports.
to run a server, you probably need not only to open the server port, but forward it (with a NAT access). Port forwarding is discussed in many threads.

AAAAAAARGH! Think of the search function and delete this thread. It's getting worse every day. Again a post about port forwarding. WAAAAAAAAH!
