Sorry to ask this question again (my first attempt)
Hi all... i am new to the forums but not new to TS, and I have a problem that seems to be an age old question that has never really received an answer.
I have a need to connect to two TS Servers at the same time (for different levels of communication with different groups of people playing the same game), and I am wondering if it is at all possible with one computer, containing one soundcard (using one mic and one set of speakers/headphones). Obviously each instance would be using separate key mappings for ptt communication and whisper/chan.com/switching actions...
is the directinput key hooking able to determine which instance wants the key press (or is this one of the fundamental reasons why 2 instances can't be used?)
Thanks for you time reading and any help will be much appreciated

I think this question has been answered. You can use the latest client together with version 2.0.29.47. You will have to set the keybinds for each client while both clients are running cause both clients save their setting to the same file and this means the setting are overwritten by one client when you close it.
Again to clarify: The settings are saved when shutting down the client. The client you shut down at last saves the settings that will be used for BOTH clients at next startup. I think there is no way to have one client saving it's settings to another directory.
Wait...on Windows 2000 and XP you might be able to run one client with a different user account (Execute as...). The settings should be saved into the other users directory then.
Wow, if this works I am really cool.
Please note that using older clients is not recommended! And don't use old clients on the public servers. I hope this thread stays long enough for you to read it. The devs don't like it when I tell people how to use 2 clients.

I don't think you get the slightest support when using 2 clients in parallel. So remember, you do this on your own !
