No Reply From server? Read this!
I thought that since so many people ask this question i mise well post it here. You can sticky if you would like, it may help some.
************************************************** ********
If you or you're mates get the error "No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it"
Then in most cases it is because you are behind a firewall/router. If you have a firewall, you must disable it. If you're behind a router, most likely it has NAT, if this is the case, you MUST do port forwarding.
To do port forwarding try this:
First you must find your Default Gateway IP Address to login to your router. This may also be found in your router manual. If not then do the following:
Windows 98/me: Start, Run, winipcfg, DEFAULT GATEWAY: ***.***.*.*
Windows XP: Start, Run, CMD, ipconfig, DEFAULT GATEWAY ***.***.*.*
After finding your Default Gateway ip address, go to internet explorer and type Http://Default gateway ip address here*
Example: http://192.168.0.1
In most cases there is a login box that you need a username and password. If you did not change it, the defaults are sometimes:
Username: admin
Password: leave blank
Username: leave blank
Password: admin
After logging in search for something that says:
Advanced Setup, Port Forwarding, Applications & Gaming, Virtural Server, etc. See if you can find something like that.
Once you are there you can pretty much do everything on your own. In most cases it will be something like:
Name: Teamspeak
Protocol: UDP
Port: 8767
IP: **Go to the start, run thing again and it will be the first ip adress
Enable
Sometimes you will have to do port triggering
Name: Teamspeak
8767 for all others
**Sometimes the above steps are not always the case. If so then do the following to hopefully solve your problem:
Teamspeak Port Forwarding
Before you can create a teamspeak server you need to do port forwarding on your router. If you do not know how, I can help you. Please email cjwoolf2009******.com with the following information.
1) Windows Operating System
a. Windows 95
b. Windows 98
c. Windows ME
d. Windows XP
2) Your IP address to your router and also your internal IP
**************************************************
You can find the IP Address to your router and also your internal IP by doing the following:
Windows 95-Me
Start, Run, winipcfg, It will be beside IP Address, This is the one you will enter
Windows XP:
Start, Run, CMD, IPCONFIG, it will be beside IP Address, This is the one you will enter.
**************************************************
3) Log into your router and take some screenshots of the pages. Such as the main one, then go through each of the tabs, and take pictures. Then upload them to www.photobucket.com .
Username: TeamspeakSupport
Password: Teamspeak
**************************************************
Log into your router by typing the ip address by DEFAULT GATEWAY.
Example: http://192.168.0.1 , you would type that in your router
**************************************************

Woolf

Thanks woolf.
Lets say that a person has done all those things, and still gets no reply?
And lets go as far as to say that maybe that same person has been studying all the information here, and still cannot find a definitive solution, any suggestions?

Well after doing the last part, we would then move on to On-Line chat. Which most cases stop there. However, if it is STILL not possible to be completed we would move on to a program that lets me do it for them, so i can see what they see.
