Question Connect reset By Peer - Maybe there's no Server Running

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to setup a server to the outside Internet from an Internal LAN. In the Lan there's no server (all Peer to Peer) and I'm connected to the outside internet with a DSL Cisco SOHO Router.

I run the TS server (ver.2) from a Win2000 machine and it looks working since I can edit edit and publish and see my server in the Web list, but when I try connecting from another machine using the client software what I get is just an error message saying:

"Connect reset By Peer - Maybe there's no Server Running"

I've tried changing UDP port in the server.ini file without success.

I think with my DSL connection I'm behind a NAT (but I don't know what that is ) and also I have static IP which is correctly recognized by the Server program (which also recognizes my computer IP)

I'm not a master of networking so I need help to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance to all posters.

    hi tatoz,
you have to forward port 8767 udp.
    don't change your server.ini.
you have to edit your cisco router's port forwarding table.
please consult your router's manual on how to do it.
you can find some general informations here:
