Unable to connect to my Remote TS sever
My apologies for the double post, I posted at the bottom of someone elses thread and thought it would be better to have a clean thread for this.
I am having a similar problem to many other people. Here is what I have going on.
Windows 2k Advanced Server
Static IP
Teamspeak Server application is installed.
My server is set up and I specified port 9010.
Open TCP/UDP on my router for port 9010.
I try to connect to MYIP:9010 and I get this message from my client.
"[14:11:01] Connecting to 216.24.161.62:9010
[14:11:04] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it"
The client is not on the same network as the server so I am attempting to connect through the internet. I say this because I have seen several threads mentioning using the internal IP..no need here.
I have tried using a registered name to log in, I have tried anonymous access to the server as well. Everything that I tried fails.
Makes me sad. I don't know what else to try.
Any thoughts?

I can't even ping the server. Are you sure it's even running?

1) host is not up
2) no open UDP port in the range of 9000-9100
=> no way to connect to a server beind this IP:port
=> you've a network prob, not a TS prob

kk, here is what I have come up with. I am not so sure its a router problem anymore.
I set up the server on my Windows 2k Server machine, then I set up the client. I was unable to connect to the server via the client on the same machine.
I then set up the server on my Win XP machine at home, and then the client. I was able to connect to the default server that is set up.
All the devices are installed on my server machine, I have had no problems with any hardware/software other than this. Can you guys think of any reason why the client would not be able to connect to the server even on the same machine?
The only thing I can think is that maybe the server isnt running correctly. I IM'ed the guy behing 'teamspeaksupport' for AIM and he(or you if its you) went into my server via remote desktop and looked around, he said all was well with my setup so I dont know. Kinda sux...

My bad guys. I am an a$$. I will wear the TS a$$hat for two months if you like. You can even give me the a$$hole award of the year.
Behind the T1 router is a seperate linksys router. I neglected(totally forgot it was there) to open the port in there. Once I did that everything began to flow as it should.
Sorry for wasting your time,
THANKS FOR THE HELP!
