Exclamation TS will not even connect....

Okay my problem is that when I start up Team Speak, it is not even connected. I know this because all the way on the bottom left, it says "disconnected" and when I try to quick connect to an I.P. address it says server may not be connected or TS may not be running it (what does that mean). I have DSL and yes i know Im connected to the internet as Im posting this right now....

-I have the newest version of TS : 2.0.32.60
    -I am on windows 2000
-Soundcard does not apply to my knowledge if i cant even connect....
-I hope to be using this with WC3 but since it doesnt even connect....
-I'm running the newest version of Direct X of that I am sure lol...
-I'm not even priveleged enough to get errors messages since i cant -connect...
-I've looked all over the forums, put in "disconnected" in the search, uninstalled 3 times, re-downloaded twice....
-Last and definately not least...i'm a guy (I'm answering these right off the questions in the posting rules)

As for a firewall, all i got is Zone Alarm. I am also on a router, but I got someone to open port 8767 (after i uninstalled and tried again).

I really don't know what else to do as i have not seen anyone with this problem. Once again, IT WON'T EVEN CONNECT. I'm frustrated beyond belief. Any help will be greatly appreciated, but please keep it newb friendly as possible. Thx in advance.

well opening a port and doing port fowarding are two diferant things !!! and zonealarm will also stop you from conecting if ts is not "allowed" ....
