Net Router's can't connect

Hi!

I have a TS server behind Trendnet TW100-BRF114 router.

I have made a Virtual Server, and open the port 8767 udp.
I have also tried to use the DMZ host in my router, but still it's only people who don't have a NAT router there can connect.
So the problem can't be on my computer, the clients who use a NAT router should maybe open a port, i don't no?

If the people who have a NAT, use DMZ host in their router can they connect. that is just not a good ide, because of the safety rist.

So any suggestions?

turn off dmz like you stated not a good idea !
try to open a port range of 8767-8768 some routers dont accept a single port range ...

Hi, in my Virtual Server setup, i can't open a port range.

I have at setup names Special Applications, in there I can open a port range, but i don't undertand it, because you can't tell the router witch computer who use the port range in the Special Applications - you just open them?

Here is what there standing in my routers help file:

Special Applications are any Internet applications which normally cannot work through the built-in firewall.
If an Internet application does not work, you can try defining it here. You will need detailed information about the application from the provider of the service or application.
Note that the terms "Incoming" and "Outgoing" refer to traffic from the client (PC) viewpoint.
If the application can't be made to work, you could also try the "DMZ" feature.


But as i said before, i don't think the problem is on my computer - i think that the client who use NAT routers have to open a port of some kind. It's ONLY Nat router who can't join the server!

They shouldn't have to because the client only needs outgoing connections, and those shouldn't be a problem with NAT routers. Maybe, the people who try to connect have NAT routers that have issues with UDP. I have a NAT router too and I know how to use it. If you PM me your server's IP number and port I'll go have a look-see.

believe me there is a problem with the client who use NAT -
as i said before, if the client who have NAT in their routers turn on the DMZ host they can join without any problems at all.
As I know if you turn on your DMZ host, you will turn off the NAT in the router, therefore must it be a problem with the client, not my server. But if you turn on the DMZ host, your system will not be very safely. So I hope there is anothter way for the clients to connect.

Yes they shouldn't have any problems, it's also a bit strange to me!

I also have means of diagnosing connection problems. Please check your ICQ

BTW, if you set a DMZ host you do not disable NAT. You merely forward all packets that would normally be discarded to that one computer.

Problem solved by putting client in debug mode.
