    Balancing everyones volume?

    Hey everyone,

My clan and I just started using teamspeak recently. We love the software, and we have everything (seemingly) setup correctly.

But here in comes our problem. Everytime we go to use it (basically a daily occurance now), it seems like everyones volume settings have reset, or changed too drastically to tell.

What I mean is, we've had to spend a good 20 minutes balancing everyones volume just so we could hear everyone.. usually when we first sign on for a day, some people are too quiet, others are booming voices of g0dz0r. We spend the 20 minut so everyone sounds about the same, play the rest of the night, next day it starts all over again.

Is there a better method for balancing everyones volume?
Or does anyone have tips for how to get a group of people to balance their volume faster?

    Thanks guys/gals/mutant mechanical squirrels.

well no there is no auto balance in ts 2 but we hope for ts3 .. the player with quite settings is most likely the operating sys. sound propertys check the mic booster to up there output levels . tis setting should not change ?? but those with XP lol who knows all app with sound setting have been know to rewright the sound propertys for them selves and not a independent setting for it's app alone . hence those with XP have the most troubles

    wrong?

This has been discussed multiple times on the board.

TS2 does have autonormalisation code, but if things are quiet it says "this is to quiet, will not try to amplify it 50 fold". In this case your mixer should be consulted as to increase the amount of data that is fed to the application. Once thats settled, everybodies volumes should be fairly the same, it works great on the public rooms on the public servers, so I guess you probably all tried to get a sub-autonormalize volume by tweaking all your configs, instead of adjusting the people that are too low in volume. If you don't have to crank the "output volume" slider in the ts2 settings up too far then you know you are on the right path (for me its about half way).
You think my answer is stupid ? Read This:
