Another mic problem ????

Ok new to TS but i thought id worked it all out anyway my problem is when i activate the local test mode in sound setting WITHOUT connecting to a server the test goes fine no problem i get the green light in both voice activated and press button modes!

Now when i join a server and try the test again i get nothing no green light comes on when i test the mic and no one can hear me but i can hear them

Any suggestions may be of help dunno what sound card is in my pc but will find out if that is causing the problem

...and you hear yourself speaking ?

- do you have voice rights on that server ?
- ever tested an other server, e.g. one of the public servers ?

Yes i hear myself speaking slight delay but hear myself and the server i joined is a public server and thats when it doesnt work or when my brother sets up a private channel for myself and him to use??
Will see if its the voice rights
