Administrative Problems
Ok, I made a new super admin login and password, and after I did that, I deleted the old super admin and logged out. So then I tried to log in as my new admin and i couldnt log in. I don't know what happened, and ive never had a problem before with teamspeak (this is my first time running a server) so i shut down my server which kinda upsets my clan so pls help me out soon.

Maybe you got the password wrong? Too bad there's no other super admin account left that you can use to reset the password.
Probably you're quicker off deleting the server.ini, server.dbs and server.log to reinitialize the server.

would first try a:
- stop server
- open server.dbs with a text editor (admin / superadmin pwd's are there in plain text => get password)
- start server
- try login

That won't be much help since Ethiz already deleted the original superadmin user.

aren't the passwords of all users in plain text in the server.dbs ? He could get out the password of the new superadmin he created ?

As you don't seem to be able to handle the file search function of your OS, it may be probably easier for you to reinstall the server as Brain recommended (or was this question just laziness ??)Last edited by guldi; 14-01-2005 at 15:01.

Now i got more of a problem. I found the files but when i got to the user section, the superadmin i created isnt there. Is it possible to creat a super admin inside this file?

Still that sounds as if your "editing try" wasn't successfull and you do not have any superadmin account anymore ?
The creating should be theoretically possible, but as there is no information on doing this you'd be completly on your own trying to play around with a SQLite "editor". Unless you have very good experience with databases,... I wouldn't recommend to do so.
=> go for the easy solution, if you do not have lot's of accounts to lose, reinitializing the server is WAYS easier and faster !
PS: it's a good idea to creat a backup of database files, especially if they take you a long time to recreate.
