Teamspeak BOT
Hi,
I feel that Teamspeak really needs a Bot just like IRC.
It means that your Clan leader could input matchs and then clam member could say if they can make the match and.. well all sorts!
I'm not really a hardcore programmer but i might be persuaded to help out or even manage the project if there seems lots of intrests

I think a bot would be a great idea. I'd love to see a bot that's capible of using text to speech to say things like the current time, (hourly clock, "the time is now 3pm pacific standard time") or maybe state the name of the person who just joined for those who run the game full screen.
Humm, I'll have to experiment or look around, suprised no one's thought of it before.

Was just an idea. I didn't say ANYONE had to run it. Personally if anyone wants to hack my teamspeak server feel free, nothing of value on my linux box right now other than... well... teamspeak.

I think the idea would be a great one if it would not be security flawed. Maybe the "bot" could be on the server side....

Same idea here... Just make it a program that would connect to the server like a normal TS client, it would have to login with a registered username and pass that the server admin would have to create via the panel or the self menu in the first place...

I've written a bot for Teamspeak 2 in perl. How it works? Just write a command into your clients chatlog. Your command has to be a message to all and you have to be a serveradmin. Currently the script uses too many system resources but i'm about to solve this problem.

I'll open a new thread for my project called 'TS2PerlBot' if there are any news about it.
A screenshot of my work is attached to this post...Last edited by ScP; 12-02-2006 at 23:37.

There's still a lot of work to do (like editing the '!kickrec' description)...

There's always a bigger bug... or fish... or something...

Cool. Perfect. More reason to download perl.
