Hosting a small server/Codec question
Hi, Sorry to bother you, I see how many very important people need help immediately........hehe......mostly all with the exact same problem.....chuckle
So I will try to be a little different
I am hosting a small server for a few friends and myself and one suggestion I have heard is to disable some of the codecs.
I am on broadband 3mps up 350 kbs down and I would like to be able to host 10 but would be happy with 5 which codecs would you recomend disabling if any at all, so far I have had 3 on with crispy sound no lag but I seem to remember it getting ugly at about 4 or 5 people.
It's a Win box, ....do you have any suggestions otherwise for streamlining a small server?
Thank you for your time and for the use of your TS server, it is truly appreciated, have a great day
