    TeamSpeak RC2 and Freebsd 5.3

    First off the versions,
    FreeBSD: "FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE-p13 #0: Fri May 6 18:13:05 MDT 2005"
    TeamSpeak: "Version TeamSpeak v2.0.20.1"

Snippet of 'ktrace' on a "server.ini" with "HTTPServer Enabled=1":
-- a hundred or so getdomainname calls precede this --
    66930 server_linux RET getdomainname 0
    66930 server_linux CALL getdomainname(0xbfbfea68,0)
    66930 server_linux RET getdomainname 0
    66930 server_linux CALL write(0x1,0x822ecc8,0x1f)
    66930 server_linux GIO fd 1 wrote 31 bytes

    66930 server_linux RET write 31/0x1f

    66930 server_linux RET mincore 0

(With no reason sent to server.log.)

If I disable the web server everything seems to run without a hitch.

Has anyone running 5.3 managed to get the web admin server running? (I've seen plenty of articles without TeamSpeak devs responding and without resolution. Here's hoping we can get this straightened out.)

    Thank You!

    and on TeamSpeak client console:
    No reply from server
    Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

I will try option in server.ini HTTPServer Enabled=0

    # ./server_linux --version

I am more just curious if this is specific to the linux kernel support inside of *BSD or if there is a bigger problem. Underlying compatibility issue? or is it a design flaw which is just manifesting itself on a few platforms?

It would be really cool to have a developer pop in to respond to this and ask for more info as necessary. I am willing to try anything at this point -- RC2 is running on and in a sandbox at the moment. Running on a new platform is always an option but not one I will be entertaining anytime soon. I've seen other users already make the jump to Ventrilo and kin -- I'm not quite there yet. So please, developers, consider this an SOS.

    Thanks.

Upon further investigation it appears that the daemon (server) will eventuall core if used... If I don't actually use the server (clients connecting or tcp query interface) then all is happy. :P

I hope to see something from a developer (at the very least to say "we have no intentions of helping you") else I will be leaving for blue skies. :P

On a lighter note, the FreeBSD binary of Ventrilo also fails to run on FreeBSD 5.3 :P. (I find that humourous... so kill me.)

Is your server a natd and ipfw box ?
My ts server crash always after few minutes.
I done everything that I know what I can to do.
