socket error
I have been trying to connect my Teamspeak using the ip numbers and keep getting the socket error 11004. I am using the numbers not the name, and have gotten ts to work with other ip numbers but cant with the one I need to use. Can anyone give me any help please.
yes I have checked the numbers several times, I have deleted and reinstalled TS and rebooted my computer still no luck.

can you ping this IP address ?
Would it be possible to post, pm this specific IP for a test (remember, do not post or pm the IP if you think this a security reason for you, e.g. if it's a fix IP address)Last edited by guldi; 27-05-2005 at 16:49.

Stop for just a moment.
Go to a command prompt.
Type PING ipaddress where ipaddress is the IP address of the teamspeak server you are trying to connect to. Can you ping the server?
Now, which IP address did you change and where did you change it?
Can you create a new entry in your local address book and try it with the correct information?
What IP address are you getting the socket errors on?
Again, the more information you provide us, the easier it is for us to help you.

socket error
Let me say this before I go any further. I have used Teamspeak before and had no problems. When this all started I uninstalled All of the teamspeak and deleted the teamspeak folder and reinstalled it. For a clean slate.
Atm my TS will work with other ip and port numbers but wont work with the one I need to use. But it is workng for other people I play with.
I can ping the ip address without the port numbers and get a response. witht he port numbers it doesnt respond. I have tried putting the ip address in both the connect and the quick connect address slots and get the same socket error.
I have read the forums and tried almost everything that is posted. But cant get it to work with is one ip address.
