A new key binding
How 'bout a new key binding for playing local audio files to the channel or player ?
While playing one of my favorite FPS's, I was thinking how convenient and easy it would be to have a hot-key for some of the more common commands used in the game, or even my own samples, played directly into TS.
As it stands right now, I can achieve the same effect by changing my input from Mic to Wav/Pcm, but that's rather difficult to manage during game play.
Ofcoarse this is more for convenience than necessity, so if it doesn't get implemented, I don't think anyone would loose any sleep over it.

loose sleep ?
No,
what you are talking about is the first bit of a very nifty feature which is possibly on the long term TODO list.
These audiofiles could be sent to the clients on logon or sometime, so they would play without lag (or with much much less since no en/de-coding is done). With this feature you could do: Player joined messages with player names (pwk.linuxfan joined the channel). Also you could send certain sounds when certain actions are required (like rush over there and there). Or...[long list
]
pwk.linuxfan
