Please Help an Undeserving Newbie on Server Setup
I've been trying to set up a Teamspeak server, and I cannot figure out for the life of how to set up a server based off of my computer. I have several questions, and I've read the readme, but they give me broken links that would've otherwise helped me.
1). I was given the impression Teamspeak provided some free public servers. Is this true? Is the quality of such servers acceptable? Can more than 16 people use a particular channel simultaneously, while keeping it closed to the public?
2). Could the reader of this post give me a step-by-step, idiot-proof (as best as you can) guide to setting up Teamspeak on my home computer? I have DSL, and I'm under the impression that will only get me up to around 8 users, which is fine (my best DL speeds have been clocked at around 500 kbs, but I understand DSL gives a far smaller output than input).
Thanks for your patience, you guys have probably read this post a billion times.

Yes you can protect it with a password.while keeping it closed to the public?
2.You only must install the Software start the Exe-File.
And it will work on your LAN-Network.
Do use it for the Internet. You must forward your ports in your Router if you have one.(8767).
And make sure that your Firewall doesn't block teamspeak.
Look at the FAQ for more Information. (How to start, Forwarding ports in a router, ...).
