Sound problems!

I have set up a TS server for my guild in WoW.
It is on a 1.4mhz computer with 768mb ram, I have a 10mb full duplex to run it on and it is dedicated, I run it through no-IP and have a router that I have set up for it.
We dont have any problems connecting and running it, other then user related, until we get above approx 10 members in the same channel, Since it works fine with smaller numbers of client connected I have ruled out that it should be any settings I missed.
I have set the channel max to 100 members.
I have of cours tried to switch between the different codecs but nothing seems to help.
When u get to higher number of members it start to chop up all (or some)sound for various people, some people can hear and some dont so we have to start to relay and repeat what other say in order for everyone to get the message (A can hear B but not C, B can hear C but not A and C can hear A but not B and D dont hear S**T but everyone can hear him ).
This is annoying and I dont have a clue what the problem might be (I sincerly hope that I am stupid) we dont have problems like that when we log on to other peoples servers.
Some people also have problems when they first connect, in the beginning their output volume seems to be really low so u can barley hear them.
This usually corrects it self after a while sometimes up to 10min is needed?!?

I hope Ihave manage to give all the vital information in order for anyone to know what might be the problem?

- Are all this 10 people in your own LAN or do they connect from the WAN (www) ?
- Your TS server is connected to the WAN with a 10 MBit connection ? That should be enough to handle much more then 10 people

I am the only one on my LAN, the rest connect from WAN :-)

what about this (not many people have a 10MBit WAN connection, NOT LAN conenction, hope you don't mix those two ?). Bye the way, what kind of connection typ is this ?
=> to me it stil lsounds like a bandwidth problem

- What if oyu use a lower codec, can you handle more users ?

I have the same problem as this user I didnot see a solution in the forums
I currently have a T-1 Line to the internet with a Firewall which has been configured to let people in on the TS Server port, they are all able to connect and nothing is using it except for my TS2 Server and when i get 40 People on its gets Choppy.

The box TS is sitting on is a 3.2ghz PC 40gb HD and 1GB Ram
Its running Windows XP with all patches I didnot see a reason
to waste a 2003 Server License. IF thats what needs to be done I will
but i donot want to hear "oh its because of the OS" then i put in 2003 Server and still have the same issue.

I have not changed any of the setting other than the server name so if there is something I need to do to the server to tweak it for my T-1 line please point me in the right direction.

All my users connect from all over the US via the internet and have either dsl/cable Internet service. The Codec i currenlty have is Speex 25 i lowered it all the way down to 12 but i did not hear a change in the choppiness.

Count 40 ppl connected,using speex 25.9:

40*25.9~1000kbit upload

It seems to me it´s the limit of your connection. You might enhance your capacities a little bit by using a lower codec.

how can i max out a T-1 line to the internet??

I will contact my ISP for that line to find out line speed and see if i can handle 1000kbit.

T1... that would be 1.5MBit/s if I remember correctly.

yes thats correct...I ran several speed tests and they all averaged between 1.3 and 1.4kbps so if im maxing out at 1000kbps there is still that .3 that is not being used.

Im kinda confused here. does anything need to be done to my router perhaps?

I have a watchguard firewall that allows traffic to the TS server and the TS is behind the firewall.

I assume T1 delivers 1.5 MBit/s bidirectionally. In that case you take the 1.5Mbit/s minus sales tax and divide it by the bitrate of the hungriest codec you want to use - presto! You now have your maximum number of users.
