Echoing / Strange Noises
I've been using TS for a while, since around last may, and have been wonderfully impressed with it. But I logged onto my usual server for gaming, and I don't realise I have my mic off. So when I get a scream of "TURN YOUR MIC DOWN!" before I've even said anything, I'm kinda suprised. And when I realise my mic isn't even on, I'm even more suprised. So pretty much my audio in TS only, I've tried it in a recording and over VOIP, both worked perfectly fine, and I've tried reinstalling TS. Nothing seems to work at the moment, and I'm stuck as to what I can do to fix it.
Edit: Sorry, my audio card is a SoundMAX, running on the AD1980 drivers, I believe. And my microphone is a Logitech, not sure what model.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

uhh
try going to the sound control (the little siren in the bottom right) and making sure that
A) Your recording device selection is your microphone
B) Your playback microphone is muted.
I dunno if it will work, but its worth a try,

I tried those, but it's still not fixing it. The "echo", by the way, really isn't an echo. It starts without anything being said, even with the microphone DISCONNECTED! I just press the button, and a slowly building modulating sound starts playing, and eventally just gets too loud. I can record a sample later, and see if I can upload it somewhere that I can have you people listen to it, see what you think. I've tried it in several different programs, and TS is the only one that does this! X_X Bloody annoying!

I guess I have experienced the same when ever my sound settings were broken (mic not selected as only rec source, and mic selected as playback). Also did you tried wave or direct sound in TS ?
