    ok let me refrase

i could not find this thread because i did a shearch for server admin in support aka not in 3e party applications thats not were you ( i atleast) look if you whant to find the solution to a problem.

I looked at TeamSpeak > [TeamSpeak 2.X] Support

aka not TeamSpeak > [TeamSpeak 2.X] 3rd Party Applications

so il refrase again perhaps it would be wise to but a sticky in the

TeamSpeak > [TeamSpeak 2.X] Support [English] Server - Windows forinstance

were I ( its just a opinion ) tought it would be logical to look for solution of my problem.

any ways perhaps there are 100 cool downloads and is this problem not commun at all, but if it is and peapel make threats evry day with OMG HELP !!!! I LOST MY PASS and you need to delete it evry time perhaps make it sticky in support.

if not just keep it the way it is and the next person probably will look at my post in support for the answer

    anyways thx a lot

What I wanted to say is: You didn't have to ask that question cause you could have used the forum navigation to go to the forum this thread here is in and you would have seen that it's sticky.

on linux servers use the sqlite console tool
its not that easy to use beacuse you have to use SQL but if you are expeirenced its even more powerful
as a hint you can read the sql queries from the windows batch file

or as another option: if you have a windows computer you could copy the server.dbs to this computer and try it there if you are unable to manage the sqlite console tool

Guldi, Cyrus, (or whomever else has the time and patience),
I've successfully moved my .dbs file to the batch files directory, however once I do that I'm pretty much taking swings in the dark with the .commands. The name of this thread suggests a "How To". I see that this is a very wonderful tool in the hands of someone that knows how to use it. I'm not one of those people but I'm certain with the proper amount of guidance I can be well on my way to understanding what I'm doing.

Basically I'm hoping someone can explain "how to recover" one's lost passwords with this program. Sorry for the n00bishness ahead of time.
    Thanks,

I'm completely stuck. I think we need to get some step by step help.

When I read the readme, It says Copy the server.dbs to the directory where sqlite.exe and serverdbs.bat are.

I look in the program files, and I don't see sqlite.exe, just sqlite.dll.

I also don't see server.dbs in the zip file to extract.

Just to top it off, servdbs.bat isnt there either!!

    Is it that complicated?
The sqlite.exe and serverdbs.bat come with the serverdbs.zip in the first post of this topic.

Sorta but not really. I agree about the sqlite.exe's location. That sounds like a corrupt download if you do not have the exe. I had no problems with the program. I'm just a little ignorant of how to use it once it is installed. The readme.txt is pretty self explainatory, can't get much simpler than those instructions unless you have someone else install it for you. I'll gladly right a little tutorial regarding how to unzip, create a directory, and copy and paste the db file if it's really needed; however I would really like to know what I'm doing and in what order I need to execute the commands in order to recover lost passwords. I may be mistaken; but can't I just reinstall to fix my password problem?

I know how to switch from screen output to naming a output.txt for output, but I don't know what I'm looking at or for when I see the seq name file (0 main and 1 temp). Does this make sense? .databases is the command I use to get the seq name file. .help is self explainatory but I guess I'm shell illiterate when it comes to this program, if not shell illiterate then I'm used to windows style gui's for dealing with my databases. Once again sorry to bother.

Oh and yes it can be that complicated if you're not familiar with database operations and how to manipulate them with a program such as this one. A simple example of password recovery using this program may work wonders for the community that happens across this thread. What's a shame is that the credit will go to the guy that creates the tutorial and not the program; both would be first class in my book.
    Thanks,

Therefore you should open the serverdbs_en.bat if you want to have kind of a gui.
This batch utility uses sqlite.exe for its commands.

I got a little eager, so I tried some other stuff. It worked, but it wasnt the best thing to do.

In the end, I got my password.

Pretty good software if U CAN USE IT!!
