    Exclamation SLG Comms v3.2.0

    Hi,

I created a script which displays information about TeamSpeak and Ventrilo servers.

    Main features are
    - Template support
    - Multi language support
    - Can operate with and without a database
    - Caching of retrieved server data (only applicable if a database is available)
    - Ability to query custom servers (This can be disabled if you so wish).

    Requirements:
    - PHP 4.2.3+ (PHP 5 recommended because of better performance)
    - Optional MySQL database (Support for MySQL 4.1+ available).
    - PCRE extension (Is normally present in a default PHP installation).
    - Working forum (Only required if this script is used with database support enabled).

    http://slg.sourceforge.net/

    example 1: http://www.pz.homedns.org:4714/
example 2: http://www.iruclan.com/ (click on the button with the text "ventrilo")

    Hello,
I Dl'd and set up the lates release of SGL (v2.2.3). I installed with a database (tied it to a phpbb forum on my site, and set my TS server as the default with no custom servers. When I try and get it to work however, the connection times out. I know I can reach the tcpquery port (it's open on my router). here's the addy of my SGL install. http://ts.runichearth.com/slg/index.php

any help on this would be appreciated.

Yep don't know why its not working for you. I think you have the connection information wrong. It should be this: runichearth.game-host.org:8767:51234

Anyways fill that string in here: www.ukdaclan.org/comms/ as a custom server and you'll see that the string is correct and works.

If it still doesn't work for you slg comms installation, enable the custom server feature in your slg comms and let me know.

    I assume this doesn't work with bb2Nuke? I am currently using PHP-Nuke 7.6 patched v3 with bb2Nuke 2.0.21, and errors arise...

After extracting your Comms package to /comms, and running the install, I wanted this to run with a database. When it askes for the forum location, ../modules/Forums/, I get the error...
    ERROR: Invalid forum configuration file.
    Any fix?

If the forum you are using isn't in the drop down box called "Forum type" then then that forum isn't supported yet. Support can be added but thats done only when requested.

I can add compatibility if you wish. I'm allready busy creating a 3.0.1 bugfix release that addresses some bugs that were found so it can be added in that release.

Incase you want support for your forum, please send me your email address in a pm so that i can send a 3.0.1-DEV version to you. That way you don't have to wait 1 or 2 weeks for the support in the official release.

Untill support is added you can use the SLG Comms without a database.

    error message..

"Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in
    /home/wsad/public_html/SLG_Comms_3.0.0-FULL/includes/classes.inc.php
    on line 486"

    URL = http://www.wsad.co.uk/SLG_Comms_3.0.0-FULL/index.php

yeah that error is known. It is fixed in 3.0.1 which will be released soon.

In the mean time you can fix the problem by simply going into the admin interface and then click on "Manage servers" and click on the update button
