Lightbulb Binaries/source for server on openwrt

Would be nice to see some binaries or even better source for openWrt

Would be so cool if you could have teamspeakserver installed inside your router as you never turn your router off, you would have a server up and running 24/7.

Maybe even a chance that you guys get a foot into router industy with integrated teamspeak in routers :O

You will never see any source code of teamspeak as it's not open source...
A router with a teamspeakserver inside
I would like a router with a Raid 0, 3 GHz processor and 4 GB RAM
Then i don't need to buy a computer and i will save money...

Even if the Server does not require much CPU time, I'm not sure if the current WRT's do offer enough CPU power ?

"For a console Linux box (without running a graphical user interface like an X server or equivalents) a Pentium 100 MHz processor and 32 MBytes of RAM will suffice"

There is routers you can run openwrt on that got 350mhz cpu and usaly 32MB ram,and the kernel is much more stripped than normal linux kernel.

And there are ppl running other voice-chat servers on router already, and Asterisk (VoIP) is availible from homepage.

As is mysql wich can be used with teamspeak.

Or... you could jsut get your own server box and set that as your DHCP and whatnot. It could act as your router.

Yea but then i have to get another computer to, have few linux boxes currently but don't want to have em running while im sleeping (bit noisy).

Routers are nice i that way they are not noisy, never have to restart it, and don't fry the hdd if you have it running 24/7 for a year or so.

Guess i can go for an other voice chat, but i like teamspeak.

I find it hard to believe that you could run Teamspeak with very many people talking on a router. But, If you know of one or find one in the future that can handle it, please let me know. Thanks!

I believe a RouterStation Pro would handle a small teamspeak server just fine, development for this would be nice to see as openwrt is pretty much Linux.
