    Port forwar

While reading a lot of messages on this forum I have noticed that a many of members here have the same problem.
No it is not installing Teamspeak Client or the TS Server, although I had to spend several hours and even had to install Teamspeak Server twice because I was unable to login with the right ID and the right password.
A good tutorial would be to show the members in this forum how the port forwarding works and how and what they have or should do.

I am certain that by now a lot of people on the Internet use Cable or DSL. I have been using DSL for 2 years now and was not even aware that there was a router on it.

So it would be nice to show other people that are like me and saying that they can join their own server but that their friends can not.

In the Teamspeak2 manual, it is stated that port forwarding is not discussed, period. I must say that with all the people here having the same problem, I was seriously thinking that Teamspeak probably did this on purpose so that everyone would give up installing their own FREE Server and just go ahead and rent one.

If I was able to fix my problem....it was mainly because of a few members here on this forum, willing to spend their free time and effort to help out there where TeamSpeak apparently didn't.

I wrote a message to the Company that makes my OvisLink modem, asking them to tell me how to precede to port forward my External IP. I have not heard from them yet....and thanks to some help from this forum, I don't need them anymore.

So I am sure it would be nice for the Teamspeak Team to come up with a tutorial, which would help the frustrated “Server owners” to solve their problem: “I can join my server but nobody else can!"

    Thank You.

And please be assured that this is not a critic (poor English) against Teamspeak. In the past I had many occasions to work with Teamspeak and I find it amazing to see when some 30 odd people from all over the world can chat together as if they where staying in the same room.

    Members Not able to Transmit

I know this isn't probly the right place to post this message but I have looked a bunch and haven't located the right place to post this question. One of my members on TS has installed the program, connected, transmits and can hear himself in his speakers, his green indicator light comes on, but no one on the other end, myself included can hear anything he says. I had him try the voice activated settings and put them to whisper and max output. He just got a lot of feedback. So, if anyone has any answers, or can move this post to where it belongs please do and let me know any advice anyone can give. A quick way to get a hold of me is thru my gmail account, turtle1971***********

Any advice is welcome, but please don't flame me because I put this post in the wrong place. Thanks

They are doing this, because there are an ungodly number of router services, in many languages, and they don't have the manuals for all of them, and services change, and there is no way to keep up with it. If they didn't want you using the free servers, they wouldn't let you have them.

    Question Hi... I am new...

Hey there everyone. I am new and i have absolutely no idea what some of the stuff that i ahve to do to get this to work. I am trying to use TeamSpeak for World of Warcraft, so if anyone is also using TS for this please help me out. I already downloaded the newest version of TS and tried to open it. When i tried to even open the program, it said that something might not be installed. I am conpletely confused about this entire thing so if someone could please help me out i would be very grateful.

    Thumbs down No good tutorials

TeamSpeak SEEMS like a good idea but getting it to work properly is a nightmare and the tutorials are pretty poor. I suspect even the commercial version would be troublesome. Yeah ... many have set it up successfully ... but this has to be one of the most UNFRIENDLY programs I've run across. After a week of trying to set it up it's at the point it's not worth the effort. MS hasn't a clue .... and I can see from the forums I'm not alone. There is NO "Step by Step" guide to making a successful connection. Too bad ... I had high hopes.

What are you talking about? Are you on to something?
TS is pretty intuitive for anyone.. For those that dont think so, my guess is that they are computer illiterate...
Whats the problem about installing a program? The only thing that might be tricky to set up is voice activation, and there are enough topics about it...

And what commercial version? Haven't seen one in all the year's im here.. Unless you talk about the ATHP license, that is only for people that charge money and or have more then 1000 slots totaled.
