1) Did you EXACTLY do what's in the FAQ. it's a fact that the web login could be easier.
again the install/login process:
a) install TS server (when you have an old install, delet EVERY single file before the new install !)
b) start the TS server, and then close it
c) open the log file and get your admin password
d) restart the server and go into the web login
e) enter the information and select the server from the list (there should be only one and it should be selected)
f) login

Re: Same THing Happens to me!
Believe it or not, re-boot your machine after shutting down the tss server. Then restart the TS2, and try it again. I have found that sometimes with this program, after logging into the admin page, then trying to log into another admin page on the same machine differant ports and server. It would not work until reboot. EX. First server http://12.220.72.97:14534 - Log in it works, Log out, try logging into http://12.220.72.97:14538 and it stalls. So I'm not sure why, but the linux version as compared to the Windows version seems to have this problem. It seems like the Linux box will capture the port and not release it till reboot or something. Very weird.Originally posted by Antwan09

Also you can try modifing the ini file by changing the ports .. This also eliminates alot of port issues if you have ports that are already in use.

Fixed my probolem with the web login......
I had this same probolem with not being able to login to the web interface. I read all the forum threads that talked about this topic with no answers..... then my friend "Apophis" realized that I had changed the name of my default server on the [server_cfg Default] and [Servers] 0=server_cfg Default lines in the server.ini file to some new name that matched my other TSS servers names. When I changed the name back to Default eveything started working again!
It seams that when the default admin name and password are created they are entered into the TSS2 database file server.db under the Default server name and if you change the default server name to anything else the database has no users for the new server name hence you can't log in. This will also affect any other users, admins, and superadmins created.
At least that was the probolem for me.....Last edited by Total; 18-02-2003 at 06:37.
