I just started running a freeware clan server and it seems that connecting to it via typing in the IP in "Quick Connect" is working on a touch and go basis. Some people are able to connect, other's can not. Those who are able to connect using the "Quick Connect" and typing in the IP can not always do so. Sometimes I can connect using "Quick Connect", sometimes I can not.

To my knowledge, if people use "Connect" and specify a filter, then scroll to the server name they are always able to connect. However, specifiing the IP in "Quick Connect" rarely works even when I try to connect over the LAN.

To help outline the problem I'll do my best to describe my setup. I'm running 6Mbs/384kbs cable service to a Linksys router, then broadcasting a wireless signal to the Teamspeak Server computer and another computer on the network.

I of course have given everyone the global IP to connect to instead of the router address. I've forwarded port 8767 to the computer running the TS Server and disabled the SP2 firewall on that port for that computer as well.

I've tried the BindToIP= trick, using the global IP address, but then everyone, including myself, was unable to connect. Should I have used the LAN IP for the BindToIP= trick?

I would like everyone able to connect using "Quick Connect" so they don't appear as "Guest X" when connecting through the filter.

I just seems odd that they are always able to connect when they click on the server name, but not when they type in the global IP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
