    teamspeak and world of warcraft.

am posting this on my wifes behalf, so please bear with me if some of this dosent quite make sense.

    Hardware
    AMD Athlon XP2800
    1 GB ram
    Nvidia Geforce 6800
    MSI K7N2 NForce 2 based

    Software
    Windows XP SP2 all updates
all current drivers for graphics card and motherboard
    teamspeak 2.0.32.60
world of warcraft with all patches.

When playing world of warcraft on its own there is no problems either on public servers or on instance servers. however as soon as teamspeak is running there are fairly frequent crashes which can be duplicated.

These problems have only started since i installed the latest nvidia drivers, i have tried uninstalling them, and reinstalling, but the same problem keeps occuring.

Is this a problems with the nvidia drivers, or the way in which teamspeak works with the drivers??

    any help would be appreciated.

Try just uninstalling them and installing a complete different driver. That's what I did to my ATI and it runs a lot better now. Plus, nVidia doesn't really have any "underground" drivers that are more detailing and texturing drivers. These are just updates, and I get my ATI drivers from a dude that used to work for ATI and makes the drivers for his website or something like that. I can't really remember the name, either.

Hope this helps, if it does, add to my reputation, please!

So I had this issue when I started many moons ago...If you go into your settings and change it from Direct sound to Wave or Wave to Direct sound (can't remember right now) it should take care of the issues for you...Try it out maybe it will work for you.
