10kb Codec
I like the 14kb codec just fine, but maybe a 10kb one could cut down the amount of bandwidth and PC power needed without losing too much quality. Besides a gap from 6kb to 14kb is kinda big.

I dont think that this is a no forever, but there have been various posts and suggestions of different codecs in the past and the devs might or might not consider one or two of em.
I am not all that familiar with codecs but i think that the gap between 6.3 and 14.8 exists because 6.3 is the highest CELP codec available and 14.8 is the lowest GSM codec. There are most probably no CELP/GSM codecs in between.
Maybe we will be lucky and there will be new codecs in future releases.

Yes best way to get an answer to a suggestion is to add to a present thread dealling with the same question.
I looked at your suggestion and didn't answer because it was delt with in previous theads.
