    TeamSpeak Stops running

I searched the forums and didn't find any posts that matched this problem, I apologize if it's a duplicate.

I have Teamspeak running fine, you can connect to it and chat, it all works. When I look in the running processes for my server it is there. The problem I have is that after about 30 minutes or so the process just stops running, all clients are disconnected and cannot reconnect. When I look in running processes it is no longer there.

I have done the restart command for the teamspeak server and that works, but says that it did not shutdown correctly and has to kill it. It pretty consistently happens just like I said about 30 minutes of running.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or have a solution for it?

    Thanks

    2.0.20.1

    Downloaded from the downloads section.

Also, I have tried the beta, still the same thing.

    oops, sorry,

    It's running RedHat 7.2

I also got a tech on the phone for the server that finally seemed like he might know what he was doing, he said possibly the reason is a service call syswatchd that goes through the system and keeps it "maintained". Possibly that's shutting the process down?

Have you ever heard of that service?

    Thanks

Well, I just started using Linux, but, that could very well be the problem. Try disabling it.

Yup, that was the problem. Once I stopped syswatchd TeamSpeak stayed running just fine. I was also told by the tech that as far as he knew syswatchd would not stop processes running under the nobody user, so I am trying that and so far, so good.
I chose to try that because I actually did want syswatchd running and keeping the system clean of sendmail freezing, and other processes running that I didn't want.

    Thanks

Well, first of all; the server is owned by a provider, I'm just renting. Secondly, it works and my philosophy is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

    @Gadgeteer59:
Which kernelversion is running on the server?
