    Saving Channelsetup?

    2 suggestions:

    1) ability to save your channelsetup.
In TS1 it was pretty easy to save the setup of your channels because it is a textfile.
But in TS2 it's encoded in some way into a file.
So when I'm upgrading to a new serverversion, I have to retype the whole channel setup again? That took me 3 hours last time.
Figure a way to save the channelsetup to a file so it can be easily ported to new versions.
Make it an option for instance when you rightclick the icon in the traybar.

2)It would also be nice if it wasn't encoded but in plain .txt format like in TS1.
It's faster to change your channels in Notepad then in TS2.

Yes a .txt import/export funtion would be nice for the channel and user setup. Up until now I have been saving the server.db and server.ini hoping the new update will except them as they are.

until now it was always compatible,
and so it will be for the future.

also most of the current ini file will be moved to database
after rc2. so i am sorry, with an text editor you cant do
    that much anymore.

    Reasonable

    OK.
    That's understandable....
Maybe consider then the following possiblities that will make the UI more flexible:
    - Dragable channels/subchannels
    - Ability to copy complete channels and/or subchannels.
    - Ability to "match" other channel properties like description/topic
    - Ability to set a default soundquality without losing the ability to pick other soundqualities.

    Thanks for replying

So I take it backing up the Server.db and Server.ini will work for RC2

And that also means we will have to redo our channels for RC2 or will it migrate the present channel setup to RC2?

Or you could make a conversion utility for the lazy peeps (e.g me).
