Can u delete info in the server.log file?

Exactly as I said, can u delete info in the server.log file?

Would it effect the server at all?

I figured delete old info if ya can.

Deleting the whole file would make the server think that this is a fresh install and your database and server.ini would be overwritten.

Changing or removing info inside the logs is harmless. I'm using a backup script to save all 3 needed files to a secret non-www-accessible ftp account. After a successfull backup, the server.log is beeing emptied automatically.

This is very usefull to keep your log small. However, there are even better log rotating tools out there.

With a few modifications: Yes, of course.
