Please Help, Cannot get TS to open
I just installed the Windows Version of the TS Client. Here is where my question is. After installation I found where I had installed it and opened it, all it asked me to do was choose a program in which to open it with. I tried the recommed web browser but there was some problem in that..and when i opened it with notepad it dispalyed a bajillion different signs/characters. I know a little about computers so I'm guessing thats the code/script but other then that I Can't do anything with it, So is there anything else I need to install so that I can use TS? I tried the Windows server but the same thing happened. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

sounds like a bad install. remove it and reinstall. read the faq(I think it's there) on how to remove the teamspeak.conf file too.

I couldn't find anything in the faq and I checked the add/remove programs but teamspeak didn't even show up as a program there, I'm guessing because it hasn't actually been installed yet...
Just to check..I have windows XP so this is what I am to download right?

The very first one under windows called Teamspeak 2 Client(RC2)

ha! Yea. that's the one you want. If it's not in the add/remove programs, try installing it again... IF you have permission(not from your parents) to install programs on your OS.

Ok, here is what happens when i install:
-CLick site 1
-click accept on the user agreement page
-It then prompts me and I click save
-Wait till it finished dowload and then click run
-Says Publisher cannot be verified and if i still want to run it...I choose run
-Then opens a small box and says Open file ts2_client_rc2_2032
you have the options of either internet, notepad,Paint,Windows media Player, etc.
None of them work except for notepad which it then just shows all those symbol things
Have installed many times and this is what has happened every single time

If your operating system is not able to run executables (.exe), I wonder why it's still starting up normally. Maybe some crappy firewall, virus scanner or other tool renamed the file and removed the .exe extension?

save it to your desktop or somewhere that you know where it will be.
after download, go to my computer. go to where you downloaded it. (or if you saved it to your desktop, click on it there).
It should load up. IF it does not not load up and gives you the select program list, go here:

ok here is how i finally got it to work... I typed "ts2_client_rc2_2032" in the google searchbar. What popped up showed "ts2_client_rc2_2032" except they all had and .exe at the end, meaning the one I kept on downloading wouldn't run becuase the .exe was missing. So, went here http://www.macommune.org/Members/PhE..._2032.exe/view
and got it to dowload..thanks for the help
