[Ts2] Windows Client Binary BETA 2.0.33.7

    Hi there,

I'm happy to inform you that a new TeamSpeak 2 client binary is available for Windows.

The new version contains the following changes:

    - fixed a bug where a client could crash when using special chars in nicknames or channel descriptions
    - minor fixes

You can find the new release on our Downloads page.

The file you've downloaded is not an installer, but an updated executable. Simply replace the existing TeamSpeak.exe in your TeamSpeak 2 client installation directory with the new one.

This build seems to be working fine for me so far. Is there anything in particular/specific you wanted tested?

The "stable" client crashed when you were using RTF codes in channel- or nicknames, descriptions or topics. This issue has been fixed by removing specific strings from any user inputs.

We'd appreciate if you'd inform us if there's any way to by-pass this bugfix.

Are you saying you have stopped users entering RTF characters?

TS2 is now not under development

Some newer build are released with a few minor bug fixes.

Try posting that as a TS3 feature request

There is not a lot that can be done against using hex editors, or resource hackers
