Problems with Teamspeak on Ubuntu Linux

I have a good, working mike and a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card (uses Cirrus Soundfusion drivers on Ubuntu). It works well for both OSS and ALSA applications.

In fact, the mike works too: if I turn on the mike volume, it plays out of the speakers. Good.

Teamspeak works too... except when the press-to-talk button is pressed... nobody can hear me. The green light next to my name lights up as usual, and I can hear the others, but even with the microphone boost on, nobody can hear me, not even a whisper.

Anyone know what could be up?

Do you run TeamSpeak with aoss, artsdsp or esddsp or any other OSS->ALSA wrapper?
Please check your mixer settings and/or post a screenshot of your mixer where the inputsettings are shown.

I'm not using any of the wrappers, just standard OSS (as much as I hate it sometimes). Not at the computer right now, but the mixer settings are pretty simple: the mic is on maximum volume, unmuted, and there's the +20db mic boost on also. The correct mic is chosen.

Is there something like a source called "Capture" in your input system. Try to select the microphone and "Capture" for recording and bring it to maximum volume. I heard that sometimes solves such problems.

Maybe you should try an ALSA wrapper that also makes things like softwaremixing easier if you need it.
