Server.dbs Tools for MySQL
Hey,
Cyrus has the http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=25690 Server.dbs Tools for the Default server.dbs database
Some people use MySQL as an alternative, and i have made a version of this tool for MySQL
It is written in VB .NET, and includes the MySql.Data.dll interfacing module from the MySQL Site.
You will need v2 of the .NET Framework (This is a windows App) http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
It is designed in a very similar style to that of Cyrus' Tool, with the same functions
At the moment, it is however, only in english
Features:
- Create, Delete and List all SuperAdmins in the MySQL Database
- Create, Delete and List all ServerAdmins for any SubServer in the MySQL Database
- Create, Delete and List all ServerUsers for any SubServer in the MySQL Database
- Change Passwords of SuperAdmins ServerAdmins, ServerUsers
It includes a feature to save connection details (IP Address/Hostname, Username, Password, and Database name) to a .xml file, which means that you only have to enter the details once, if you choose to save them. You can change them in the menu.
To Run:
Unzip the TS MySQL Tool.exe & MySql.Data.dll to a directory, and double click the TS MySQLTool.exe
This will open a console window, and as its first run, ask you to enter database details to connect, and will let you know if the database connection has been successfull
Any Problems, Comments, Queries or alike, post them on here, and i'll do my best to help you out/sort the program
Known Bugs:
- None
Fixed Bugs:
- Fixed an Infinite loop on password saving - Partial Wrong exit criteria listed, so would exit on some cases, but not others
- After reading XML file, program wont let you write to the file - not helpful if changing DB settings or password
- Fixed the positioning of the outputs from the database that didnt line up
Comments Welcome
Cheers
Sam

I didnt even think of doing that! But i will do it
Which section would it go under? Application or Other? Application i presume sounds most feasible
Also, cyrus' Server.dbs Tool (http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=25690), needs adding, will do that at the same time. Also, what section would this go under? Application again?
Cheers

I'm using a non-standard port and I'd like to be able to enter this in the connection configuration step. As it is now if I try to add the address
mysql.example.com:3000
it's giving me an error saying there is no such server or whatever, do you have any plans on giving us the option to enter custom ports for our connections?

Long time overdue response...
I will rewrite this in C# and i'll add that functionality. Its relatively simple to do (Or i might whack it in the VB version quickly)
