Client suggestions
Hi,
I have some usability-ish Suggestions for the Client side, that would realy help me (and others id suspect) do some stuff i do faster and better.
1. If I start a whisper, it would be cool if the default 'bright green' bulb indicating I am talking would light up in a different colour, so I and people receiving my whisper can be sure this WAS a whisper. Also, it would be realy nice to see whom you are whispering to. All players/channels that get the whisper could be highlighted in slight red colour. (This helps a lot with whispering to presets (you easily loose track whom you will send to this time). Also, it would save me a ton of times going to keybinds just to check if my Alt+l whisper is still bound to the right people on my team. )
2. Also, it would be cool to be able to start a whisper without a keybind...e.g. I highlight 3 players (shift click) then right click em, and hit "whisper to". A little button would appear somewhere indiating I am whispering, and a button to stop the whisper. (Maybe even a "bind this whisperconfig to key", which would get you into the keysettings menu with already configure whisper to settings (you only have to specify the key) ). This feature would be realy good for short notices (tell that guy in Default the password to our channel OR [many things here] ).
I want this =)

Only the different color on whisper send is non trival.
The rest requires some extensive changes :P
What i can do without to much trouble is to make a menu item.
"Bind this player to whisper preset x"
Then you can use your "whisper to preset x" binds to whiper to the player.
The main problem is how the whisper should stop?

Good idea.
Indicating that you are whispering and to whom would be useful.
Of course most times you don't look at the GUI because you're playing.
A friend and me use the word "whiskey" to let the other know that you whisper to him and he should whisper back.

Maybe even a small beep before the tlaking to indicate that what you're hearing is infact a whisper because like you said, people won't be looking at the GUI most of the time.
