    [Ts2] Windows/Linux Server Binary BETA 2.0.23.13

    Hi there,

We've released a new TeamSpeak 2 server binary for Linux and Windows today.

The new version deals with the following issues:

    - fixed the \0 char exploit which caused problems with the player context menu and banning functionalities
    - fixed a memory leak issue from version before
    - fixed a small TCP query bug were selected servers were un-selected after authenticating as superadmin
    - limited max TCP query connections to 100
    - minor fixes

Please note that this version also contains all bugfixes that were previously released in Linux and Windows binaries (2.0.21.3, 2.0.22.1, 2.0.22.2, 2.0.22.3, 2.0.23.2, 2.0.23.5 and 2.0.23.6).

You can find the new release here.

now go and code on teamspeak3 again

Question: is this a recommended release for productive environments or does it more have a testing character?

It fixes some problems/exploits in the TS system

Although beta, it should be pretty stable, and is probably worth the upgrade!!

Bad characters? What do you mean by that?

Can't the bad characters be altered within the server.ini file?

I think that Reedy ment that the users trying to use that exploit can't connect.

MySQL is still not a database that TS supports out of the box

There are methods listed on here to get it to do so
